Marvels that hold India as a treasured land for years and years to come.  Places, Creativity and some gifted treasure troves that make India a special and so loved.  It's a gossip that is often either not known or is lost in the annals of history only to be memorized for competitive exams or if one is voracious reader or has a keen interest in knowing the unknown and is a traveller in all senses of the term.

World’s longest sandstone cave, Krem Puri in Meghalaya

At over 24,583 metres in length, world’s longest sandstone cave: Krem Puri discovered in Meghalaya, the northeastern state known for its complex cave systems hidden under its undulating hills. This underground cavern is more than 6000 metres longer than the world record holder- , the Cueva Del Saman in Edo Zulia, Venezuela — a quartzite sandstone cave measuring 18,200 metres.

The cave was discovered in 2016, but its actual length was found during an expedition by the Meghalaya Adventurers’ Association (MAA) to measure and map it between February 5 and March 1 2018.

World's tallest statue: “Statue of Unity"  in Gujarat

India unveiled the world's tallest statue in 2018 as a major tourist attraction. It cost 29.9bn rupees (£330m; $430m) to build. The 182m (600ft) high structure built in the western state of India: Gujarat, is a bronze-clad tribute to independence leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

World’s highest post office is in India’s Spiti Valley at Hikkim

The Post office is set at an elevation of 4440 m (14,567 ft above sea level), in the beautiful village called Hikkim in the Lahaul-Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh;. Credited for being the World's Highest Post Office with the pin code 172114,  Hikkim is 15 km from the town of Kaza in Spiti Valley and has a population that is primarily Buddhist. For most of the months, this place remains cut off from the rest of the world due to heavy snowfall over the passes.

Most visited place of the World as per 'World Book of Records' (WBR) is India’s Golden Temple

The Golden Temple has been awarded the 'most visited place of the world' by 'World Book of Records' (WBR),  the London-based organisation that catalogues and verifies world records. According to an SGPC official, more than one lakh devotees visit the Golden Temple every day.

The Golden temple, located in the holy city of the Sikhs, Amritsar is famous for its full golden dome, it is one of the most sacred pilgrim spots for Sikhs. It's all made of 24-karat gold, which is much purer than the 22-karat gold present in Indian households today.

It's indeed insightful putting this together, something related to India’s treasure troves, far far off, the maddening chaos happening with the so called progress, success and knowledge and what not in and around us ..world over !
