Neena Gupta and Chef Vikas Khanna: the most awaited blend of 2019

Neena Gupta, undoubtedly, is one of the most versatile actors, Indian television has ever had. Since, almost an era, the actress has nailed every character she held both in daily soaps and Bollywood. She grabbed the limelight yet again with her power-packed performance in the recent blockbuster – Badhai Ho. The actress is all set to grace another movie with her brilliant performance i.e. The Last Color. And guess what – the movie is a directorial debut from our heartthrob celebrity Chef Vikas Khanna.


In the area of hospitality, Vikas Khanna has made the country proud across the globe. However, for a change, the chef decided to direct a movie based on his book - The Last Color, that he published a few years ago. The movie stars Neena Gupta and several other child artists. Talking about the story, The Last Color is all about the widows of Vrindavan and the Supreme Court order against the concept of not allowing the widows to play the festival of Holi.   

Recently, actress Neena Gupta, was in news for her looks and presence at the Golden Globe Awards 2019 after-party, held in California, United States. The actress sparked the Red Carpet by walking in an elegant ivory saree, dressed at her sober best. She further glazed the outfit by keeping her hairs long open portraying utmost simplicity. The Last Color was also, screened at the 30th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival 2019, where both Neena Gupta and Chef Vikas Khanna marked their presence to enforce promotion. According to the reports, the trailer launch of this 86 minutes motion picture will take place on 8th May 2019, during the Cannes Film Festival 2019.

In a very recent interview with an entertainment platform, the celebrity chef shared his experience of working with this classic actress in his very first directorial movie. Adding to this, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards Neena Gupta and that according to him, nobody else could have done such justice to the character other than her. And likewise Neena Gupta, complemented the script of The Last Color and its Director via a instagram message stating how this was one of the most fulfilling experiences for her as a actor, where she didn't had to slip into the role but the moment she wore white, she became Noor , the character she is portraying

We cannot just hold on with our excitement to watch this blend of talent creating magic on screens coupled with a heart wrenching story of widows not being allowed to play holi or have color essentially on them and how all that changes with a Supreme Court order.

2019, seems to be again an year of some hard hitting content driven movies on the horizon for Indian as well as worldwide audiences!
