Making waves with his short films such as The Last Date, Zubaan, Loneliness etc. in the national and international film festivals; Ojaswwee Sharma, the young and sensitive movie director from Chandigarh stands tall, with his body of work, which have been widely acclaimed and recognized, in the recent, years. With each of his movies, interwoven around a key socio cultural ethos, Ojaswwee believes, passion finds us on our journey to find it. Recalling his journey from becoming an engineer, and then business studies, what struck him towards movie making was the plenty of story telling happenning in the real world on a day-today basis and how various emotions are played to drive the listener or a business house to conviction.

Ojaswwee, shares that he is driven by his own thoughts of exploration. Being an emotional person himself; emotions is what he gives the utmost priority in his work. He further adds on that it is sometimes incidents, sometimes relationships that drive him towards a scripting story.  He further adds on, “Every house in India has a story that can inspire, entertain, suppress you, or chalk out a dark note. I catch whatever I feel for.”

Within a span of 7 years, this young director, who looks more of an actor, has made close to 25 short-films and has some amazing productions lined up in the coming months under the banner of Rolling Frames Entertainment and Pinaka Mediaworks. Talking about the releases, lined up in the coming months; writer, director and producer Ojaswwee Sharma shared that currently he is on completion of a Punjabi Film for Television in association with PTC Punjabi; an urban youth comedy (in Punjabi) touching upon a slice of life of the mindset of the Punjabi ethnic youth.  The other one is a feature length documentary dram of approx. 2 hrs + run-time based on human rights – a real life story, which the ace Director plans to take to the festivals other than commercial screening pan India. Another project, which he talks about, is short film titled Butter Toast, based on thedomestic food wastage in India. He further adds on that he is hoping to direct a rom-com and a thriller too, however leaves that for some other time, later this year, to be talked about.

When prodded on what as a writer, director or producer her cares the most about he said, As a Writer I am carefree. As a Producer I become calculative. As a Director I become Practical.” However, he believes, as a Director alone he is more in tune with his work and more confident directing films he has written, knowing the reason for the inception of the emotion in it. When he dons the hat of a producer, the director in him takes a back seat and that's what makes him become practical on the treatment to the script. He adds on, “juggling isn't easy.”

Winning the Best Director award for ‘Zubaan’ and ‘The Last Date’ at Rajasthan International Film festival 2018, recent felicitation at the Chandigarh Music and Films Festival 2018 and bagging the Best Actor award for Zubaan at Haryana International Film Festival 2017; his most recent shortfilm ‘Badalati Soch’, based on the issue of Female foeticide with a message on gender equality, backed by the Department of Heath Services, Chandigarh, reflects the sensitivity and maturity with which this young and dynamic director, treats the subject. When asked, on when he himself plans to don the hat of a actor, Ojaswwee quips……he's open to the thought.

The Director signs off with the view that shorter duration content /short films has gained huge growth and competent story telling just adds a zing to it.
